Application Process for Prospective Students
At My Mentor Lab, we are committed to supporting talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds who aspire to pursue higher education and complete an undergraduate degree abroad in humanities, social sciences, or sports careers.
Application criteria
Our application process is designed to select students who show:
- Academic promise reflected in grades (for middle-income students) does not apply to low-income applicants.
- Strong motivation for learning,
- A clear dedication to achieving their goals.
- To be a high school student in 11th grade (junior year) and 12th grade (senior year). Years 12-13 equivalent in the UK. In Latin America, Bachillerato (4to y 5to año) de educación superior.
Assessment criteria:
Applicants from middle-income backgrounds will be assessed based on:
- Academic performance
- Personal essays
- Recommendations
We prioritize students from:
- Low-income families
- First-generation students
- Those facing unique challenges, such as physical or mental disabilities or limited access to educational resources.
- Underprivileged communities
- Ethnic minorities
- Students from conflict areas such as those facing to be displaced due to political and socioeconomic conflict.
